Alzira acoge el Campeonato de halterofilia de la Comunidad Valenciana Junior y Absoluto, tanto femenino como masculino. El pabellón Julian Perea ha acogido esta competición deportiva donde han participado el club de Halterofilia Alzira, Valencia CH, AC Gandia, Evolución Alicante, Titán Alicante, Cabanyal Alicante, Sagunto, PS San Vicente, Tavernes y Aldaia.
La competición que ha comenzado a las 8,30 de la mañana se divide en 8 tandas con 12 participantes cada una.
El concejal de Deportes, Fernando Pascual y el alcalde de Alzira, Diego Gómez, han visitado el torneo.
